Coaching that forms who you are while you do what you do. Because character isn’t something you can outsource.
Formation, not just coaching
Formation is coaching with a destination. We explore, and we build toward faithful leadership.
Grounded in frontline reality
One arm of the Renewal Ecosystem, which also includes The Renewal Initiative, working with frontline leaders in crisis contexts — including active engagement in Ukraine.
Depth before scale
High-trust, high-touch. Every engagement begins with the leader, not a template.
Leaders whose work matters — and whose environments are complex.
Faith-Informed Leaders
Carrying organizations, congregations, or movements through seasons that test conviction and capacity.
Faith is the foundation. Formation that addresses the whole leader.
Nonprofit Executives
Leading mission-driven work where stakes are high, resources constrained, and performance alone will not sustain the team.
The gap is rarely strategic. It is alignment, endurance, and the capacity to carry others without losing yourself in the process.
Leaders in Complex Environments
Founders, operators, and senior leaders who need formation not available from boards, peers, or corporate learning budgets.
The most demanding environments are the ones formation serves best. Built for complexity.
Across all three, the common thread is this — the leader already has capability. What they need is alignment, depth, and durability.
The evidence runs decades deep — and it points in one direction.
Training transfers skill. Formation shapes the person. The numbers below explain the difference.
The annual cost of disengagement, worldwide.
Roughly nine percent of global GDP, lost every year to people showing up to work without ever being led well.
Of the variance in team engagement traces back to one person.
Not the strategy. Not the salary. Not the perks. The manager. Form the leader, and you change the team.
Productivity gain when training is paired with coaching.
Training alone lifts productivity by 22 percent. Add coaching and that figure rises to 88. Formation is the multiplier.
Bad leadership is the largest preventable cost in the global economy. Coaching is the most evidence-backed response, with a measured return of five to seven times its cost.
“What are you currently tolerating that is not forming you into the leader you hope to be?”
One framework. Three layers of formation.
Renewal Leadership offers three engagements — each a different depth of formation work. Start where the moment is.

The conviction behind the work is faithful leadership.

The work in both is the same: forming people who can endure. His writing on faith, resilience, and long-term recovery has appeared in national and international outlets.
